Flood recovery is ongoing in Kananaskis. Some trails, day use areas and backcountry campgrounds are impacted. Check Advisories before you travel.
Group Use A is located in the valley just off the main road into the campground. Nestled beneath the Hoodoos, which provide good protection from the wind, this Group Use Area is separated from the main campground by the Day Use Area, providing more privacy for visitors.
The site has a parking lot for mid-sized RV's, trailers and tent trailers. The main gathering area near the camp kitchen is located a short walk from the parking lot and has a group fire ring, numerous picnic tables, a private vault toilet, a potable water tap, and a camp kitchen with a wood burning stove and electrical outlets. There is additional space for tents located closer to the camp kitchen. Group Use A is adjacent to the main hiking trail with an easy dedicate access point.
Note: There are no power hook-ups for RV's. If power is required, you may wish to consider booking a powered site in the Campground, or bringing a generator (please note generators may have restricted run times).
Firewood is available for purchase at the Hoodoo Hut Campground Store.
WaterThe shower building is open during the summer. Showers accept loonies and toonies only.
Note: There is no ATM on site, nor cash-back services at the park. We suggest campers stop at an ATM in Milk River or Foremost before heading to the park.
