Bear Essentials
Friday, June 27: 3:30pm - 6:30pm
Lac La Biche Agricultural Society (13412 Hwy 881)
Find the Park Interpreters at a booth at the weekly held Lac La Biche Farmer’s Market just outside the community of Lac La Biche. Join the Park Interpreters and learn all the “Bear Essentials” you need to know when camping and recreating in Alberta Parks this season!

Birds of SWC
Saturday, June 28: 9:00am—10:30am
Pelican Viewpoint Lookout Deck — Big Island Loop Road
Welcoming back birds from near & far, and featuring others who always call SWCPP home… the great migration is in full swing and the choir is singing! Enjoy the views from this newly upgraded lookout space, along with use the viewing binoculars to see Pelican Island.

Celebrating Pollinators + Art in the Park
Saturday, June 28: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Amphitheatre (Campground, Loop C)
Join a Park Interpreter and learn about the important role that pollinators have in the Park. Discover who pollinators are, and why their work is so important. Even try your hand at catching some bugs, or spotting some birds, and see if you can identify them! Plus, capture your favourite through an art activity.

Mammals of the Boreal Forest

Learn all about some the larger & smaller mammals of the Boreal Forest & feel free to ask questions about Alberta Parks camping & recreation opportunities.

Music in the Forest
Saturday, June 28: Doors open 6:30pm, Music starts 7:30pm

Canada Day
Tuesday, July 1: 8:30 am—4:30pm
Lac La Biche Mission (67453 Mission Road)
With a pancake breakfast and a concession lunch, join the community in celebrating the cultures of the area with songs and dance. You’ll find the Park Interpreters with a Canadian themed Wildlife Display at the Lac La Biche Mission from 10am—4pm.
Fireworks will be at McArthur Beach in Lac La Biche at11:00pm. They can be viewed from a distance across the bay from Camper's Beach or the Amphitheatre Deck.

Tickets / Registration

All Alberta Parks interpretive family programming is on a drop-in basis and for park visitors of all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
