Sonia will perform as part of the summer season of 'Music in the Forest' on a Saturday evening and we're excited to hear her stories and music.

A biographical snipped on Sonia Deleo:

Calgary-based musician Sonia Deleo works in a striking half-pitch of knockout musical grandiosity and sensitive singer-songwriter poetics. Capable of enormous operatic crescendos and full-hearted intimacy, her warmth, wit, and drama feel at home in all of the wide-ranging genres on her 2022 debut LP Love Notes to the Monsters. The album fuses folk and blues; at times orchestrating rock and roll instrumentation into enormity and other times relaxing into an affectionate gesture of company.

A biographical snipped on John Wort Hannam:

Twenty-two years into his career and John Wort Hannam shows no sign of slowing down. In fact, he's gaining momentum, recently winning two 2023 Canadian Folk Music Awards for his latest offering Long Haul, along with a 2022 Western Canadian Music Award nomination for Roots Artist of the Year and an English Songwriter of the Year nomination at the 2022 CFMA’s.
