Details:Only non-potable water is only available on site through the hand pump. Visitors arriving May 28th and onwards are advised to arrive with sufficient water for the duration of their stay. This advisory will be removed once the system is running with potable water.
Non-potable water is not safe for consumption or use and should only be used to put out fires.
Maqua Lake Campground is located on the eastern shore of Maqua Lake, about 37 km southeast of Fort McMurray. The rustic campground features 7 individual unserviced campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and firepit. Vault toilets are available within the campground loop, and drinking water can be accessed from a hand pump at the campground entrance. Firewood may be purchased on site from Park Rangers when they are present.
