Details:The Rock Lake Access Road is subject to sudden flooding during the spring and summer due to rising water on the Wildhay River. Please proceed with caution into the park, especially after heavy precipitation or snow melt from the mountains.
Alberta Parks is monitoring the road; however, river levels can change rapidly.
The Willmore Staging Area at Rock Lake provides a major access point to the world renowned Willmore Wilderness Park. Park visitors use this area to hike into the Willmore or access the many park trails by horseback. A stunning viewpoint over Rock Lake is accessible within a short 20 minute hike from the staging area.
