- Permitted activities may vary within a park. Please confirm details with park staff.
Wildlife Viewing: Species include coyote, mule deer, white-tailed deer, moose, red squirrel, snowshoe hare, muskrat, badger, beaver, mink and occasionally black bear.
Tubing on the Pembina River: If you are planning to go tubing while camping at Pembina River, please be advised that the Pembina River does not loop around the park and will carry you away from the park if you do not get out of the river at the signed takeout spot. Once past the signed takeout spot, access on and off the river becomes difficult and potentially dangerous. There is no intersection with a road or a bridge until the Rangeton Campground that is several hours downstream.
Do not enter the river from the campsites as they are beyond the signed takeout spot.
Remember you are not in a water park; you’re on a wild river, where there are inherent risks and hazards. Cell phone connectivity may not be reliable.
