Located within the Kootenay Plains Ecological Reserve, the Siffleur Falls Staging Area is situated 54 km southwest of Nordegg along the scenic Highway 11. The area is most renowned for its popular hiking trail leading to Siffleur Falls, offering hikers spectacular views of the mountain ranges, Siffleur River Gorge, and a crossing over the North Saskatchewan River via a unique suspension bridge.
Visitors are reminded that to preserve this natural environment, no overnight camping or open fires are allowed anywhere within the Ecological Reserve.
The Siffleur Falls Trail eventually leads into the Siffleur Wilderness Area. When exploring this backcountry area, visitors must stay alert and be prepared for natural hazards including dangerous cliffs, water hazards, varying trail conditions, wildlife encounters, and unpredictable weather changes.
