Dillberry Lake Provincial Park is open year round and a spectacular place to visit any time of the year. However, the park is open to day-use only in winter and no winter camping is available. Recreation opportunities include activities like snowshoeing, cross country skiing (user maintained, not groomed) and ice fishing. The park’s open winter outhouse facility can be found at the park’s south day use area along the road to the boat launch. Firepits are also available here, but users must provide their own firewood and shovels to access them. Winter visitors who come should be prepared for the weather and be self-reliant. Check 511.alberta.ca to check road conditions before setting out, and carry an emergency preparedness kit in your vehicle when exploring Alberta’s Provincial Parks.
