Come and join us in celebrating Parks Day at Crimson Lake Provincial Park!

• ALL DAY CHALLENGE: Grab a Passport from the Registration Booth, get a stamp from each    department in the Day Use Area, and bring it back between 1:00 and 3:00 PM for a frozen treat!

• 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Day Use Area
  • Show & Shine: Meet our maintenance team to learn about their equipment and what it takes to keep our campground running! 
  • Bear Smart Table: Don’t poke the bear—get Bear Smart! Connect with Crimson Lake’s Ranger Team and learn all about the forests fur-covered, den dwelling gentle giants.
  • Wildfire 101: Visit the Alberta Forestry and Wildfire table to learn about wildfire prevention and forestry. Kids can take part in hands-on activities, including practicing how to safely extinguish a campfire and more. 
  • At 11:00 AM—12:00 PM, Art in the Park: Spend some time with our Volunteer Hosts Kim and Karl, and create a take-home nature based craft!
  • At 1:00 PM, Parks Day Cake: Everyone is welcome to grab a slice!
  • At 1:00 PM, Bug Hunt: Have fun with an interpreter, set out with our nets, catch some bugs, and take a peek into the lives of our smallest critters!
• 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Registration Booth Events: Bring your completed passport for a frozen treat. Stay a while and colour with our amazing information officer team!
• 7:00 PM, SomeAre Solsitce Flutes at Amphitheatre beside Registration Booth:

  Join us at the Amphitheatre tonight as Music In the Forest Presents: SomeAre Solstice Flutes for an eclectic blend of music in their cover and original songs. Janina and John deliver unique acoustic stylings through world flutes, guitar, dobro, and percussion that will engage you in a journey of sound as their “Music flows between worlds, transcending time, space, and culture…”.
