Why do we have parks in Alberta? What makes them important? Students learn about the provincial parks system and the purpose of designating parks and protected areas. Students identify Alberta’s Natural Regions, learn about a park in each region, and identify the value being protected in each park. Students brainstorm challenges to a successful park and have a chance to “manage” their own park!
