Soil Study

Students participate in a day-long soil study that provides an introduction to soil science. They learn about the formation of soil and how it affects plant growth. Students perform hands-on soil sampling and texture testing, and learn to link soil type with water behaviour and forest type.  We also discuss potential careers with Parks and other careers that use the skills learned during the study.
