Availability
- Our school programs are available on weekdays from September through June.
- We can combine program elements, offer programs back-to-back, or run programs concurrently to accommodate different classes or large group sizes.
- Environmental education for youth groups or other organizations is also available. Programs can be booked for weekends for September through June. In July and August, programming may be available on weekdays, depending on staff and schedule availability.
- We usually run our environmental education programs in these Northeast Region parks: Cold Lake Provincial Park; Garner Lake Provincial Park; Moose Lake Provincial Park; Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park; and Whitney Lakes Provincial Park. However, we can also deliver our programs in your classroom or local natural area. Please inquire about these options when booking.
Fees & Class Size
- The fee for each program scheduled is $2 per student. We provide the invoice after the field trip. (Cheques must then be made payable to the "Government of Alberta".)
- Programs are designed for a maximum of 30 students per class. Larger groups may require split programming or adjusted schedules. Please inquire when booking for groups larger than 30.
- One adult supervisor is required for every 5 students. Please ensure that you have recruited enough volunteers prior to the field trip.
To Book A Program
All programs must be pre-booked, either by phone or email. Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
