Alberta Parks Partnerships

Partnerships aren’t new. Partners – including volunteers, non-profit organizations, Indigenous communities, businesses and municipalities – have been essential to our provincial parks system since the first parks were established in 1932. They collaborate with us to enhance visitor experiences, connect people to nature, and conserve our natural and cultural heritage.

    Partnership Principles:

    1. Partners help Alberta Parks achieve its mandate of supporting access to recreation activities and meeting conservation goals to protect sensitive landscapes.
    2. Partners support sustainable, efficient and affordable services for Albertans in Alberta Parks.
    3. Partnerships foster public participation in service delivery and stewardship of our natural landscapes - a time-honoured tradition in the parks system.
