Details: Please be advised that Alberta Parks will be conducting vault toilet replacement at two (2) locations in Park Lake Provincial Park. Work will occur at the following locations from October 8 to November 15, 2026 (subject to change and weather dependent):

To facilitate construction activities, heavy equipment will be working on site and some areas of parking will be temporarily closed to accommodate staging. Temporary barricades and signage will be present to delineate work areas. We recognize construction is inconvenient, however it is necessary to uphold public safety and to support construction efficiency.

Follow the direction of all signage and personnel in the area and stay out of active construction zones.

Directions

Paved, accessible trails connect the parking areas to shaded picnic sites, a sandy beach, seasonal concession and a playground where young ones can run and play. The calm waters make this a great spot for paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Dirt and gravel trails loop through the park and out towards the lake peninsula, offering opportunity for leisurely walks or a relaxing bike ride. Arrive early morning to catch a glimpse of the incredible variety of birds that spend their summers at Park Lake.

In the winter months, the lake transforms into a popular spot for ice fishing and park exploration.
