This lakeside campground is in Kinbrook Island Provincial Park, 13 km south of Brooks off Hwy. 873. There are over 160 sites suitable for RVs and tents, including unserviced and powered options. The lake provides welcome relief on hot prairie days, with trees that create shady campsites. Wetlands near the campground provide excellent bird watching on an interpretive marsh trail.
Campground is open for 2018, with self registration ending on May 8th. Reserveable camping begins the night of May 8th.
For extended season camping (early September until early May), Kinbrook Island is first come-first served (self-registration). Find a site then put cash or cheque payment in an envelope in the self-registration vault.
Winter rates are in effect from early October until early May. Some loops are closed during this period. In winter, firewood is available for purchase from a dispensing machine (card card only). Water, showers and flush toilets are not available during winter; outhouses are open.
The sani-dump station is open all year (but there is no water in fall/winter).
Picnic areas and the playground along the beach area are open year-round.
