Details:Please be advised that FireSmart vegetation management work is being completed in and around Chain Lakes Provincial Park as part of ongoing efforts to manage vegetation for public safety, wildfire mitigation, infrastructure maintenance, and ecological health. This work will only take place on park property, including:
Visitors may observe heavy equipment operating within the park. There will be increased noise levels during this work, and temporary closures of certain areas may be necessary for safety. We appreciate your patience and understanding as these essential projects are completed.
Enjoy an oasis on the prairie in Chain Lakes Provincial Park, 38 km southwest of Nanton on Hwy. 533. This campground along the Chain Lakes Reservoir features over 90 sites with willow bushes for privacy and both unserviced and power options. Enjoy fishing, bird watching, canoeing, wind surfing or sailing at this lakeside getaway.

All campsites at Chain Lake Provincial Park are 100% reservable.
When camping in a powered site:
Remember, conserving electricity and timing when you use your electricity in a campsite will ensure you can stay powered. Get more information about using power sites.
For safety reasons, only communal fire pits are available, subject to appropriate weather conditions. There are four communal pits, one in the centre of each camping loop. A limited daily supply of firewood is supplied at no extra cost. NOTE: Propane fire pits are not permitted.
WaterPending weather, normal water service is available by the May long weekend. To support water conservation and as a backup measure, campers and day users are encouraged to bring a supply of drinking water.
SewageThe sewage disposal fee is $6 (one and two dollar coins, and quarters accepted).
