Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself.
Musreau Lake Provincial Recreation Area is about 80 kilometers southeast of Grande Prairie. The industrial gravel road leading to the park is often rough. A beach and boat launch offer access to the lake that is clear and great for swimming. Hike along the lakeshore on the unmaintained forested trail, hang out on the sandy beach or take your canoe or boat out for some exploring. The smaller campsites are first-come, first-served, but the group camping area is available by reservation.
Location: 80 km south of Grande Prairie on Hwy. 40 & 2 km east on access road
