Moose Lake is very popular for its sand beach and water-based activities. The trails are used year round by hikers, skiers, and snowshoers. The area is home to a variety of waterfowl, songbirds and raptors as well as other wildlife including bear, moose and deer, making this an exceptional wildlife viewing area.
The park provides overnight camping, day use and group use facilities and a boat launch. The campground has 59 campsites; 47 with 15/30 amp power hook-ups.
