Waiparous Creek Group Use Area is located 13 km west of Cochrane on Hwy. 1A and 36 km north on Hwy. 40. Surrounded by pine forests, rolling ridges, and the gentle sounds of running water, Waiparous Creek Group Camp offers an ideal mix of backcountry charm and group-friendly features, set in a quiet valley with easy access to nearby trails, creeks, and viewpoints. The site is large and private, designed for tents and RVs. Campers can enjoy picnic tables, a large group firepit, vault toilets, and a cook shelter with a wood burning stove. Enjoy fishing and hiking, as well as OHV trails nearby. Registered campers may off-load and travel to OHV trails from their campsites.
