Open year-round, the Kananaskis Visitor Information Centre is located along Highway 40, approximately 7 km south of the Trans-Canada Highway.
The Visitor Centre serves as a key first stop for travelers exploring the region’s parks and outdoor recreation areas. It offers maps and up-to-date information about local trails, day use areas, safety, wildlife, camping, and nearby attractions. The Centre also provides amenities such as restroom facilities, drinking water, Wi-Fi access, and an information kiosk, making it a helpful resource for planning activities and learning about Kananaskis Country.
Visitors can purchase and access information related to the Kananaskis Conservation Pass here, which is required for vehicles parked at provincial park and public land sites in Kananaskis Country and the Bow Valley.
