Rock Lake Provincial Park is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. This popular staging area provides easy access to equestrian, hiking and mountain biking trails in the Rock Lake-Solomon Creek Wildland, Willmore Wilderness Park, and northern Jasper National Park.

In the park, you will find multiple camping opportunities ranging from drive-in campsites, walk-in tent sites, or equestrian campsites with horse corrals. Facilities within the park include picnic shelters, water pumps, firewood, a boat launch, fish cleaning stations, and a horse loading ramp. Rock Lake also offers hiking and mountain biking opportunities and is a popular fishing destination.

Rock Lake Provincial Park is a popular staging area for Willmore Wilderness Park (located 3 km west of Rock Lake) and Rock Lake-Solomon Creek Wildland Provincial Park (which surrounds the park to the north and south).
Hiking: The Willmore Viewpoint is a gentle, uphill, 0.5 km trail with stunning views of Rock Lake and the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Follow the trail signs from the Willmore Staging Area. Alternatively, the George Kelley Trail offers a beginner friendly hike to a viewpoint at 1.5 km from the trailhead and parking. For advanced hikers, the trail continues to the top of the mountain at the 3.5 km point.
Backcountry Trails: Backcountry trails in the area include Jackson Creek Trail, Mumm Creek Trail and the extensive trail network within the Willmore Wilderness Park. The Wildhay River can be dangerous to cross during high water and heavy rainfall and should only be attempted by experienced backcountry users. The Jackson Creek Trail provides a safer access to the Mountain Trail in the Willmore. Always be prepared for backcountry travel conditions.
Fishing: Rock Lake is a popular fishing destination primarily for mountain whitefish and lake trout, although bull trout, rainbow trout, burbot and northern pike can also be found here. Motor boats are permitted, but water skiing or towing are NOT PERMITTED.
