On your way into Ram Falls Provincial Park, you are likely to encounter the famed Bighorn Sheep that populate the area.
Within the park, you can spend a day at the large picnic shelter and day use area or in a smaller picnic area with fire pits and benches. Stairs lead to a platform lookout point that provides incredible views of the waterfall, though you can experience the beauty of Ram Falls without venturing down the walkway.
Easy hiking trails are great for walking or leisurely biking, and there are vault toilets throughout the park for your convenience. There is no drinking water or firewood available on site, so please plan ahead and bring your own before you visit.
The road to Ram Falls is a gravel road that can be a bit rough, though it is suitable for most vehicles. The nearest gas station is in Nordegg, about 65km from the park. Although it is only 65km, it may take over an hour to drive, depending on the road condition. Cellphone reception is also very limited in Ram Falls Provincial Park, so it is best to print a map instead of relying on GPS.
