Details:As of September 8, 2026, Ram Falls has transitioned to winter seasonal operations and is officially closed for regular campground use.
During this period services and facilities are limited or unavailable.
The campground is not open for overnight camping.
Visitors are asked to respect all posted closures and regulations during the winter season.
We look forward to welcoming campers back in May 2027.
On your way into Ram Falls Provincial Park, you are likely to encounter the famed Bighorn Sheep that populate the area.
Within the park, visitors can spend a day at one of two picnic areas featuring fire pits and benches. Take a walk through the trails and catch some beautiful views of the waterfall. The easy hiking trails are great for walking or leisurely biking, and there are vault toilets throughout the park for your convenience. There is no drinking water or firewood available on site, so please plan ahead and bring your own before you visit.
The road to Ram Falls is a gravel road that can be a bit rough, though it is suitable for most vehicles. The nearest gas station is in Nordegg, about 65km from the park. Although it is only 65km, it may take over an hour to drive, depending on the road condition. Cellphone reception is also very limited in Ram Falls Provincial Park, so it is best to print a map instead of relying on GPS.
