Medicine Lake Campground is located in Medicine Lake Provincial Recreation Area, 47 km north of Rocky Mountain House on Hwy. 22 and 8 km southeast on a gravel access road. Many of the sites are surrounded by trees for privacy, and a few are located next to the lake. Launch your canoe or boat to fish, visit the horseshoe pitch and playground, or explore informal OHV trails nearby. Please keep OHVs on trailers in the recreation area.
There are no first-come, first-served sites at this campground this year in order to reduce cash handling to align with Alberta's health guidelines due to COVID-19.Firewood
First wheelbarrow of firewood included in overnight camping fee; each additional load $8.00.Water
Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground water contamination. As a result, Alberta Parks recommends that you bring your own drinking water.
