Freeman River Campground is found in Freeman River Provincial Recreation Area. It is 10 km northwest of Whitecourt on Hwy. 43 and 55 km north on Hwy. 32 (16 km south of Swan Hills). This small campground has sites suitable for both tents and RVs. It provides access to the Freeman River and nearby OHV trails.

You are expected to bring your own water. Government of Alberta regulations require that water from pumps like the one located at this campground NOT be used for drinking, cooking or washing (including brushing teeth and washing dishes). Water from the pump onsite can only be used for purposes like putting out your campfire.
