  • Partial Closure - Fall 2020 - limited access

      September 9, 2020

       

      • Campground is now closed for the season.
      • Boat Launch access to the river will remain open as weather permits.
      • Trails remain open but will not be maintained.
      • NO potable water will be available.
      • The only vault toilet open in the park is located in the Day Use parking lot.  Use at your own risk.
      • Please come prepared - bring water, toilet paper, hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes to help protect yourself from contracting COVID-19.

  • Bear Warning - Bear in Area

      September 4, 2020

      A black bear has been spotted in the area. 

      - carry bear spray when hiking and make noise on trails

      - put all garbage inside the bear proof garbage cans and ensure lid is closed

      - keep a clean campsite at all times

       

       

    Although an advisory is in place for this area, bears can be encountered anywhere in the Central Region at any time. To avoid a surprise encounter with a bear:

    • Make plenty of noise and travel in groups.
    • Be aware of your surroundings. Look and listen for bears and their signs.
    • Keep your pet on a leash.
    • Carry bear spray. Make sure it’s easily accessible, and know how to use bear spray.
