Directions to Campground
You'll find a camping experience like no other in Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park, 32 km east of Milk River on Hwy. 501 and 10 km south on an access road. Camp in the mystical Milk River Valley in the shade of the trees. Sites are suitable for tents and RVs, and there are unserviced and powered options. Explore the pictographs and hoodoos or join a guided walk. Relax on the sunny beach or swim and float in the river. Discover why people have loved and respected this site for thousands of years.
Camping The campground is located in the shaded Milk River valley, among cottonwood trees.
Camping Power is available year-round.
Camping All regular campsites are available on a first come-first served basis after the reservation season.
Water Water services (including showers and flush toilets) usually close for the season in late September.
Water Showers are $1 for 2.5 minutes or $2 for 5 minutes.
