Work side-by-side with a skilled palaeontological technician as you meticulously expose and collect 75-million-year-old dinosaur bones from an active excavation site.

Over two days, you'll:

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of palaeontological field techniques.
  • Contribute to active research conducted by the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology.
  • Learn about the scientific questions driving the excavation and how your work contributes to answering them.

Important Notes:

  • Accessibility: This program is not suitable for those with mobility limitations. Participants must be able to hike up to 5 km and sit on the ground for long periods of time.
  • Weather Conditions: Cancellations may occur due to extreme weather events, including extreme heat and rain.
  • Footwear: Closed-toe and closed-heel sturdy walking shoes are required for this tour. (No sandals, flip-flops, or Crocs.)
  • Accommodations & Meals: Participants are responsible for their own accommodations & food.
