Learn to Mountain Bike

Have you heard about our legendary mountain bike trail network?  Are your students hungry to get out on the trails?  You'd think riding a bike on the trails is like riding in the city, but it's not.  Knowing mountain bike skills and how to get the most out of your bike will make it easier to get started and allow you to go longer!  This introduction to mountain biking includes:

  • a standard bike check to confirm safe operation
  • a review of controls and limitations of the bike
  • skill sessions including braking, shifting, body position, climbing and cornering
  • a graduated approach to trail difficulty

Max. Group Size: 16 at an 8:1 student to instructor ratio. Please call to confirm seasonal instructor capacity. Consecutive sessions are available.
Fees: $15.00/student
Availability: May/June, September/October
Note: This program requires signed informed consent/waivers to be completed and brought to the session for all participants. This program will only proceed in appropriate trail conditions. Program participants are expected to attend in seasonally appropriate clothing, including closed toe shoes (no crocs, sandals, cowboy or gum boots).  Pants are also recommended.
