Learn to Canoe

Do you want to instill in your students a love of the outdoors while ensuring their safety?  Sign your class up for canoeing!  Our instructors are Paddle Canada certified and our program is based on the Waterfront program in still waters.  All boats, paddles and safety equipment is provided.  Through the program, students will:

  • learn about watercraft safety
  • work as a pair to communicate with new terminology
  • execute correct strokes and maneuvers
  • participate in games and explore the shoreline

Max. Group Size: 24 at a 10:1 student to instructor ratio. Please call to confirm seasonal instructor capacity. Consecutive sessions are available.
Fees: $15.00/student
Availability: May/June, September/October
Note: This program requires signed informed consent/waivers to be completed and brought to the session for all participants. This program will only proceed in appropriate conditions, including wind less than 20 km/hr. Program participants are expected to attend in seasonally appropriate clothing, including closed toe shoes.  An extra dry set of clothing and footwear is highly recommended.
