Where: Castle Provincial Park
Details: Please be advised that annual cattle round-up activities will be taking place throughout the Castle Park beginning October 5 and continuing for approximately two weeks. Expect increased cattle, horseback riders, ATVs, and support vehicles on roads and throughout the park. Temporary reduced speed zones and warning signage will be in place. Please use caution, follow posted signage, and be prepared for occasional delays while cattle are being moved. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Details: Designated Camping Area 3B (Wolfberry) will have a partial closure from May 1 to August 31, 2026. The upper loop of the camping area will be closed for any recreation activities while the lower sites remain open.Map of Affected Area
Designated Camping Area 5 is located where the Lost Creek and the Gardener Creek join the Carbondale River and is Castle Provincial Park’s most popular OHV Designated Trail Staging Area. There is room for RV’s and OHV’s, and campers can ride out from their campsite. This conveniently located Camping Area features large sites that can accommodate several camping units and OHV’s. Enjoy formal steel ring fire pits, leveled sites, and a new outhouse.
Note: The shared OHV trail/road is rough, and high clearance vehicles are recommended.
