Winter Ecology On Snowshoes

Read our COVID-19 guidelines by clicking this banner before visiting one of our parks. We are monitoring our operations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and this page is updated as adjustments are made.

Youth participants and supervisors explore Beauvais Lake Provincial Park on snowshoes, using provided snow shoe equipment!  Through interactive games and snow studies, students learn

    • How plants and animals are adapted to survive winter in the montane environment
    • To recognize animal tracks and signs during the winter
    • To enjoy some of our common winter birds and to contribute to Beauvais Lakes ebird list
    • To feel comfortable travelling on snowshoes

Check our info sheet for details.
