    In this field study, students

    • Visit and explore the montane forest of Beauvais Lake Provincial Park
    • Learn to identify different species of trees in the montane forest and how wildlife depend on them for survival
    • Apply their observation skills to record common and not so common organisms that live in, on and around different tree species (using study tools provided)
    • Increase their understanding of how trees function and contribute to communities' health and well-being

  • The field study is designed for 25 students with one adult volunteer assistant for every five students.
  • Groups larger than 25 can be accommodated but arrangements must be made in advance.
