Migration Mysteries

Day Use is permitted. Outhouse facilities are open where feasible - be prepared with your own hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Campgrounds open June 1 at 50% capacity. Second RV units will not be permitted on campsites. We are monitoring our actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and will adjust as needed.

Saskatoon Island is a federal migratory bird sanctuary and the perfect place to dive into the world of bird migration. During this classroom or outdoor detective session, students

  • Examine feathers and wings
  • Explore the challenges facing local migrants
  • Use their investigation skills and real bird banding data to solve a migration mystery
