  • Beats and Brushstrokes

    Come get your creative sap flowing! Add your voice or some beats from simple instruments to your favourite classic campfire tunes, and learn how nature can inspire anyone to paint what they see in a unique way!

    • Absolutely no experience needed, and all ages and abilities welcome!

    •  Bring your own lawn chair! Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • (Mountain) Lions, Wolves, and Bears - Oh My!

    Help us sort out which ferocious predator is which by checking out their teeth, poop, and more! Most importantly, learn how to prevent an encounter or respond if you ever meet one of these magnificent creatures in the forest.

    • Drop-in between 7-8 pm

  • The Great 2018 Young's Point Photo Contest

    Take an awesome photo at Young's Point and send it to northwest.information@gov.ab.ca for a chance to win a night of FREE CAMPING!!

    • The Photo Contest runs from: June 22nd to August 13th
    • The winner will be notified by August 15th

     

    Criteria to Enter:

    • Photos must be taken at Young's Point Provincial Park
    • A media release form must be submitted (the form will be sent to the photographer via email at the time of photo submission)
    • Photos should be submitted at original file size

  • Harry Squawker - Traveling Interp Show

    In celebration of 50 years of Interpretation in Alberta Parks our Kananaskis shows are hitting the road!

    In "Harry Squawker" Harry Squawker is starting his first year at “Crow”wart’s School of Corvid Genius”.  Follow him as he encounters extraordinary characters, learns new skills, and battles the evil predator Volde-hawk!
