  • Construction Closure - Section of Ski Loop B temporarily closed for construction

      January 11, 2021

While power poles are being replaced in Winagami Lake Provincial Park, the portion of ski Loop B that follows the power lines is closed.

Skiiers can still use the portion of ski Loop B closest to the lake (the Window on the Lake trail portion).

Ski Loop A near the cottage subdivision is still open to skiers, as well.

The closed portion of Loop B will remain closed until construction is complete and sufficient snow has fallen for the grooming equipment to set new ski tracks.

  • Closure - Winagami wading pool closed

      July 9, 2019

The Winagami wading pool is inoperable and has been closed due to health and safety issues.  The facility will be assessed to determine the refurbishment and/or replacement costs required to bring the facility up to current health and environment codes.  Alternate recreation options, including a bike park, larger playground and/or spray park will also be evaluated.
