Wetland Ecology

Day use is permitted. Be prepared with your own hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Campgrounds are open at 50% capacity, this includes reserveable and first come, first served campgrounds. Second RV units will not be permitted on campsites, and only one household or cohort family permitted per site. Shared facilities, showers, picnic shelters and playgrounds are still currently closed. We are monitoring our actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and will adjust our operations as needed.

Students are introduced to basic wetland ecology through a series of hands-on activities in a pre-field trip presentation in the classroom (additional cost). Following the classroom visit, a half or full-day program enables students to explore and compare two different wetland ecosystems. They consider how wetlands are linked to the lands around them and how they plan an important role for Trumpeter Swans.
