Natural Region Description

Stretching along both sides of the Heart River, Greene Valley is an important wildlife corridor for moose and mule deer. The park preserves the deeply incised river valley and the area has long been protected as a wildlife sanctuary. The valley provides habitat for black bear, mule deer, white-tailed deer and other wildlife in a largely agricultural landscape.
