Junior Planner

Reporting to the Northeast Region Community Relations Planner, this position is a temporary wage position which will learn and progress to be able to assist in the Planner Role for the Northeast Region. This position provides planning assistance services for the Parks and Protected Areas Program within the Northeast Region of Alberta. The incumbent is responsible to assist the  Community Relations Planner and work with other professional staff in management planning initiatives; the cooperative management program; research; user data program; Land Use and Environmental initiatives for parks and protected areas in the Region. The incumbent ensures that the ongoing delivery of services and opportunities for outdoor recreation, visitor services and heritage tourism are compatible with the preservation values of parks and protected areas and consistent with legislation, regulations and policies.

Classification: Natural Resources 4
Type: Temporary (36.25 hours/week)
Location: Lac La Biche
Rate of Pay: $23.54-$29.06/hour
(Plus 11.2% in lieu of benefits and holidays)
