  • Seasonal Water Shut Off

    October 4, 2017
    • The water in the campground, day use areas, water taps and trailer sewage disposal station will be shut off as of September 20, 2017.

    • The campground is by self-registration. Please register by filling out a self-registration envelope at the kiosks in the campground loops. Payment can be made via cash or cheques made out to Government of Alberta.

    • For users of the boat launch: please be advised that the dock has been removed for the season.

  • Blue-Green Algae - Calling Lake

    July 31, 2017
    • A blue-green algae bloom has been identified in areas of Calling Lake.  
    • General precautions
      • Avoid all contact with blue green algae blooms.  If contact occurs, wash with tap water ASAP.
      • Do not swim or wade in any areas where blue-green algae is visable.  
      • Do not allow your pets to swim or wade in these areas or to eat fish or fish trimmings from the lake.
      • Consider limiting human consumption of fish from the lake.

    • Blue-green algae bloom advisories are issued and rescinded by Alberta Health Services.  Typically, advisories are lifted in late autumn, when water temperatures are so cool that blue green algae growth is no longer supported.
