Young's Point Provincial Park is located on the northwest shore of Sturgeon Lake. It is just over 1 hour east of Grande Prairie on Hwy. 43 and 10 kms northeast on Range Road 251. This park has a beautiful lake to utilize all seasons of the year and just over 100 campsites to reserve during the operating season. Launch your boat and enjoy fishing, waterskiing, tubing or relaxing on the lake while watching the pelicans fly overhead. Pull out your ice shake in the winter months to test your luck with ice fishing. Explore over 10 kms of hiking or biking trails in the summer or strap on your cross country skis and enjoy the crisp winter air through the boreal forest. This park does not have a designated swim area but head on over to Bighorn Loop and enjoy a lovely green space with water access and a playground nearby. This park has a great bike track located just off Loop C, a wonderful playground off Loop A, and a bike park and playground off Bighorn Loop. This park is great for viewing wildlife and is accessible year round.

The day use shelter located at Young's Point Provincial Park is available to rent year round. It can rented for small gatherings, school, community and business groups or small events. This shelter is equipped with power, picnic tables, a wood burning stove and sliding doors to close up the building from natural elements or open up to enjoy the views of Sturgeon Lake. This shelter can be booked by calling 780-538-5350.
The shelter has a large fire pit located outside and a dock and lake access to fish from the shore.
The main campground (Loops A, B and C) is situated within the boreal forest. Bighorn Loop is nestled along the shore of Sturgeon Lake with some sites having lake access. There are over 100 powered and un-serviced campsites located at Young's Point Provincial Park. Firewood, water, showers, and sewage disposal are all available seasonally.
The group campsite is located just off the shoreline of Sturgeon Lake and can be reserved as a private camping area for groups. This area includes power hookups, picnic tables, a private cook shelter with wood burning stove, fire pit area, volleyball net, playground, private dock and pit/vault toilets.
