Where: Young's Point Day Use , Young's Point Group Use , Young's Point Campground , Young's Point Provincial Park

Please be advised that there have been multiple sightings of bears throughout Young's Point Provincial Park.

Although an advisory is in place for this area, bears can be encountered at any time. To avoid a surprise encounter with a bear:

• Make plenty of noise and travel in groups.
• Be aware of your surroundings. Look and listen for bears and their signs.
• Keep your pet on a leash.
• Carry bear spray. Make sure it’s easily accessible and know how to use it.
• Secure attractants like food, garbage, pet food and any scented items in hard sided vehicles or bear proof lockers.
• Learn more about bear safety.

Report sightings and incidents to 310-LAND (5263).

Effective Date: September 7, 2026

Where: Young's Point Campground , Young's Point Group Use

Group Use and Loops A & B close for the season on September 7, with the last night of camping being September 6. Reservation-only camping remains available after September 7 in Loop C and Big Horn Loop. 

Loop C will close for the season on September 28 with the last night of reservation-only camping on September 27. 

Big Horn Loop will close for the season on October 13 with the last night of reservation-only camping on September 12. 

Firewood will remain available for purchase at the Young's Point Registration Booth for $10/bin until September 18. The booth will be open 12:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., except for September 8, 9 and 15 when it is closed. After the booth closes for the season on September 19, campers will need to supply their own firewood. 

Water is tentatively scheduled to be turned off for the season on September 21. Please note that this date is subject to change should cold weather be forecasted. Campers will need to supply their own water following the park's seasonal water shut down.

Where: Young's Point Campground , Young's Point Day Use , Young's Point Group Use , Young's Point Provincial Park , Eagle Creek/Boreal Loop Trail, Sturgeon Trail

Recent severe rain and thunderstorms has resulted in multiple downed tree's and wet trails on Eagle Creek/Boreal Loop and Sturgeon Trail at Young's Point Provincial Park. 

Various sections of trail are soft and wet, under water, or very muddy.  

Visitors are encouraged to use caution when on the trails.
