Bats Before Bed

Join a Park Interpreter for interactive activities to learn about these specialized mammals and discover their role in the park’s ecosystem. With luck you may spot one, or get to see it’s sound with a bat detector!

Parks Day Celebrations

Alberta Parks Day 2026 marks an annual celebration of the province's natural landscapes with various family-friendly interactive activities & displays. Participants can explore provincial parks, which often feature special interpretive programs and activities designed to showcase Alberta's ecological diversity.

This year's event welcomes Conservation Officers, Lac La Biche Junior Forest Rangers Team & Lac La Biche County's Environmental Services Team! Come learn about their amazing programs, partake in some Boreal Backyard Games, interactive activities & displays, and enjoy a slice of cake to celebrate!

Music in the Forest w/ Erin Berland

Celebrating Pollinators & Art in the Park
Sunday, July 19: 10:00am - 11:30am
Amphitheatre (Campground, Loop C)
Join a Park Interpreter and learn about the importance of pollinators in the Park and the vital work they carry out. Even try your hand at catching some bugs and see if you can identify them! Plus, get your creative spirit flying high, and create your own bug (or butterfly) to take home with you.

All Alberta Parks interpretive family programming is on a drop-in basis and for park visitors of all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
