Bats Before Bed (Amphitheatre Talk & Walk)
Wednesday, August 12: Program starts @ 8:30pm; Program ends by 10:00pm
Amphitheatre (Campground, Loop C)
Join a Park Interpreter for interactive activities to learn about these specialized mammals and discover their role in the park’s ecosystem. With luck you may spot one, or get to see it’s sound with a bat detector! 

Bear Essentials 
Friday, August 14: 3:00pm - 6:00pm 
Outreach @ Lac La Biche Farmer's Market (13412 HWY 881, Lac La Biche Ag Society)
Join the Park Interpreters at a booth at the weekly held Lac La Biche Farmer's Market. Join the Park Interpreters and learn all the Bear Essentials you need to know when camping and recreating in Alberta Parks this season!

Wildfire Ecology (Drop-in Program)
Friday, August 14: 7:30pm - 8:30pm 
Campground Store Lawn
Join the Park Interpreters and take on some challenges to discover how wildland fire originate, behave, and interact with the natural ecosystem.

Birds of Sir Winston Churchill & Art in the Park (Drop-In Program)
Saturday, August 15: 9:30am - 11:30am
Amphitheatre (Campground, Loop C)
Welcoming back birds from near & far, and featuring others who always call SWCPP home… the great migration is in full swing and the choir is singing! Plus: Take some time with your family and enjoy a peaceful moment outside while creating a keepsake to capture your visit to Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park.

Music in the Forest w/ Danny Floyd Cole 
Saturday, August 15: Doors @ 6:30pm / Music starts @ 7:30pm 
Amphitheatre (Campground, Loop C)
Get your tickets and come enjoy an evening of "Music in the Forest" with Danny Floyd Cole. Tickets are available online, more details visit the campground store along with the full poster of information online. This is the last "Music in the Forest" for the 2026 summer season.

What's Your Record? (Drop-in Program)
Sunday, August 16: 10:00am - 11:30am 
Amphitheatre (Campground, Loop C)
Join the Park Interpreters and take on some challenges to see how you stack up against various record holding wildlife.

Bear Essentials & Boreal Backyard Games (Drop-in Program)
Sunday, August 16: 3:00pm - 4:30pm 
Campground Store Lawn
Join the Park Interpreters and learn all the Bear Essentials you need to know when camping and recreating in Alberta Parks this season! Plus: Join in the fun and learn some amazing boreal facts while partaking in some of our life-sized adapted boreal backyard games!

The Trees Tell Tall Tales (Interpretive Hike)
Sunday, August 16: Program starts @ 6:30pm; Program ends by 8:00pm
Amphitheatre (Campground, Loop C)
Join a Park Interpreter on a walk through the Old Growth Forest of Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park. Enjoy the tall tales of the forest and discover how these trees show their story of life.

Tickets / Registration

Most Alberta Parks interpretive family programming is on a drop-in basis and for park visitors of all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

For events planned at the Campground Store Lawn, if it is poor weather events/activities will be moved to the Campground Amphitheatre (Loop C).
