COVID-19 Updates: Taking steps to return to normal.

Follow in the footsteps of the first explorers to the area.  Discover what makes Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park such a special place.  This program includes

  • An introduction to Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park from the scenic Marten Mountain lookout
  • A guided exploration of the old growth forest and a forest fire burn patch on the "walk through time" trail on Marten Mountain's summit.  Explorer maps are provided so students can recored their findings.
  • Interactive activity where students discover how the local landscape has changed in the past 200 years
