Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself.

Take a glimpse into the world of birds and bird research in a visit to the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory (LSLBO) Banding Lab.  This program includes

  • An introduction to the LSLBO
  • An opportunity to observe the bird banding process up close (mist-netting, banding of birds and their release)
  • Hands-on activities related to bird banding and migration
