The Mile 12 Trail & Jackson Lake Staging Area (Canoe Circuit Portage) is OPEN for winter use. The Lakeland Provincial Park Trail Refurbishment Project, along with campground upgrades is complete! The Lakeland Canoe Circuit will be fully open as a circuit again for 2026 camping/paddling season.

In 2026, there may be a few minor closures as final work is completed. If it will impact user access, a construction advisory will be posted. During that time, please obey any closure/construction signage that may be on site. 

Refurbishments/Upgrades have been completed to:

• The portage between Kinnaird Lake and Blackett Lake 
• The portage between Blackett Lake and McGuffin Lake 
• The Isthmus Bridge 
• The Mosquito Lake Trail 
• The Isthmus Campground (Jackson Lake South / Kinnaird Lake North) 
• The Jackson Lake East Campground
