Random Backcountry Camping

Information: 780-743-7437

Due to the remote nature of these campgrounds, cleaning and sanitizing of shared surfaces is infrequent and users should be ready to sanitize high-touch surfaces upon their arrival. Be prepared with your own hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Note that cleaning supplies may be wildlife attractants, and should be stored in your food locker and away from your tent.

Fidler-Greywillow Wildland Provincial Park includes a portion of the north shore of Lake Athabasca, as well as a number of islands. The park is approximately 45 km northeast of Fort Chipewyan, and is accessible by only floatplane or boat in the summer and snowmobile in the winter months. There is no summer road access to Fort Chipewyan from Fort McMurray, however there is a winter road access in the colder months. This location has no designated campsite, please be respectful with random camping.
