The Bow Valley Biathlon Organizing Committee is excited to announce the 2026 Canadian Biathlon Championships and Spring Biathlon Festival at the Canmore Nordic Centre MAR 24 - MAR 29, 2026.
The competition will showcase the best biathletes from across the country! It will also provide a unique banquet experience, new Biathlon Building, and vendor trade show. The National Championships will include IBU and U17 categories, while the Festival competitions will feature Adult (Masters), Development, Ecoaims categories. This year's event also features an Alumni Race, open to all former athletes from across the country!
The National Championships will be an IBU Regional Event, and will provide Junior and Open competitors with IBU Qualifying Points for international eligibility for the 2026-2027 season.
Facilities & Trails in use:
-Biathlon Stadium (Exclusive use to event)
-Biathlon Competition Trails (Exclusive use to event)
-Biathlon Range (Exclusive use to event)
-Biathlon Building (Race office, First Aid, Athlete and Volunteer space)
-Wax Room Building
-Lynx will be closed since this provides access to the competition trails
Ice Rink, Toboggan Hill & Winter Disc Golf Course will remain open. Conditions pending.

Monday March 23 – Setup / Unofficial Training
Tuesday March 24 - Official Training Day #1. Race office opens.
Wednesday March 25 – Sprint
Thursday March 26 – Individual
Friday March 27 - Official Training Day #2. Open Eco Aims & Alumni Race
Saturday March 28 – Mass start
Sunday March 29 – Single Mixed Relay
