Bow Valley Provincial Park

Alberta Parks

Winter Safety Day

A controlled access zone will be in place in Kananaskis from June 10–18 for the 2025 G7 Leaders’ Summit.
Travel and recreation may also be affected before and after. Check for closures before you go. More info: AlbertaParks.ca/G7

A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.

Join Alberta Parks in partnership with The Friends of Kananaskis Country for a free public event to learn all about how to stay safe in the winter in the mountains. Come with the whole family and visit interactive exhibits presented by outdoor educators, outdoor operators, rescue crews, Park Rangers, Conservation Officers and more! Bring a mug for hot chocolate and enjoy a hot dog courtesy of the Friends of Kananaskis.
