Big Elbow Trail to Backcountry Campground

Where: Big Elbow Trail - from the Little Elbow Day Use parking lot to the Big Elbow Backcountry Campground.
Why: Be advised a Contractor working for Alberta Parks will be moving excavation equipment and other construction material sporadically along the Big Elbow Trail. The Contractor will be travelling to and from the Big Elbow Backcountry Campground until September 15, 2023. Park users must obey all construction signs and barricades put in place at the Big Elbow Backcountry Campground and along the trail. Barricades and construction signs will remain in place until construction activities in the campground are complete.

Why: The Big Elbow Backcountry Campground is scheduled for refurbishment construction starting mid-June, 2023. The campground will be reservable from May 15 – June 12 until the anticipated project begins.
